How to play
Moving a warrior
Touch a puck to pick it up, drag it along the road, and let go. It settles onto the nearest space. There are no menus — the board is the whole game.
The throw
Every turn begins with a throw of four corn kernels, each marked on one side. The number of kernels that land marked is how far you move.
If none of the four land marked, you move five. That is the traditional rule, not a bug — zero becomes the biggest throw in the game.
Capturing
Land on an enemy warrior and you capture him. You take command of the entire stack: him, and everyone he was already carrying.
Prisoners
Prisoners ride beneath their captor and the whole stack moves as one. Capturing is not the same as defeating — a prisoner only leaves the game once you have dragged him all the way home.
Getting them home
Move a captive stack off the far end of the road and the reckoning comes due: your own warriors who were taken are freed and return to your camp, and your enemy's prisoners are eliminated for good.
Winning
Eliminate all five of your opponent's warriors and the match is yours.
Sound
The game plays a looping theme. There is a one-tap toggle to silence it, and the setting is per session.
Playing offline
Puluc never needs an internet connection. It works in a tunnel, on a plane, anywhere.
